2014 Highlights

2014 was a great year for us.  Thought I would share some of the highlights.....

January:

 The year started with Charlie turning 3 on January 2nd!!

We went to the trains at NP to celebrate with family.  He had a blast!! 

February:

We celebrated Valentine's Day with these cuties!

March:

Sweet Lukie turned 1!!!

I had sinus surgery and got a blood clot from the IV that took us down for a few months.  Thankful to Justin and grandparents who helped us a ton while I recovered! 

April:

Easter!

The boys visited my classroom!

May:

We went to the Zoo with Gigi and Pops for Mother's Day

We celebrated Mother's Day with Nana, Grandma, and Maw-Maw

 Charlie rode on his first amusement park ride and loved it!

Lukie and I enjoyed Main Street Days

Luke started walking!!! Things then got a little crazier around the Rucker house! :)

June:

Luke's first SWA flight! Oh boy!

Summer has officially begun!!! Family trip to Seaside with Nana, Papa, and Maw-Maw

After months and months of ear infections Lukie got tubes.  He did awesome!

We went to the farm to celebrate Father's Day with Papa and had a blast!

July:

4th of July fun! 

Luke went on his first bike ride with Dad

August:

Puerto Rico! First big trip away from Lukie.  Thank you grandparents!!!

Little Gym with Luke! Loved these special days with just him.  Soaking up every last minute of summer!

Beavers Bend camping trip with Dad, Pops, Aunt Chrissy, Uncle Chase, and Uncle Adam

Back to school for Mommy, Charlie, and Luke- we all survived but missed our summer days!

September:

We had a fun Memorial Day at Nana and Papa's.  Luke enjoyed Kennedy feeding him.  Ha!

The boys are loving riding their bikes and getting really good at it. 

Charlie's 1st football game with Daddy and his first time in Austin! He loved it!

Big rain storm took out our backyard!

October:

Sweet baby Brooklyn was born on October 7th.  

 Pumpkin Patch fun!

Santa Fe to celebrate my 35th birthday! Awesome trip!

Halloween!

November:

Justin and I went to the UT vs. West Virginia game in Austin and we won!!! We always love seeing the tower orange and it was great being back in Austin for the weekend. 

Luke's 1st dentist appointment

Thankful for these 3!

December:

Santa!

Luke went to his first movie on Christmas Eve!

We had a great 2014! Cheers to a healthy and happy 2015!!

Christmas Day

We had a wonderful Christmas this year.  Santa was super good to us! 

 Heading down to see what Santa brought us.  The boys were giddy excited!! This was the first year that Charlie really got it and sweet Lukie follows everything Charlie does.  :)

 We then moved to their stockings....

A book was in Luke's and he immediately plopped down in my lap and wanted me to read it to him.  Sweet boy!

 Lukie also had a toothbrush and he started brushing his teeth.  Ha!

 There was one present under the tree for each of them.  We opened those next....

 We then got dressed, ate some Christmas waffles, and the Rucker's came over.

 Pops and I starting making the brunch.  Pops made the delicious breakfast tacos and I made the sides.....

 ....while Daddy entertained the boys and kept them out of the kitchen.

 Then sweet Brooklyn and Aunt Chrissy and Uncle Chase arrived.

Luke was fascinated with baby Brooklyn.  He kept pointing and saying baby.  Super cute!

 It was then time for presents!

 Pops made the boys a truck set- they both loved it!

After gifts, Charlie and Adam watched Planes: Fire and Rescue. 

After everyone left, we fed the boys,  put them to bed, and we had our mommy and daddy tradition of Christmas night steaks.  We were exhausted and almost pushed it to another night.  But, we are both so glad we did didn't cancel it.  It was delicious and it is always nice to reflect back on the last few days. We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas with your family and loved ones!
