Rucker-Holmes Wedding

Fourth of July weekend we headed down to Houston to celebrate Morgan and John getting married.  Charlie had already flown to California a few weeks earlier, so I wasn't as worried about this flight.  This was his first flight where we flew standby, though, but everything went great and we got the last 3 seats!! Yay! Here we are before we boarded the plane.  I always loved flying SWA, but I love it even more flying with an infant- because we get to pre-board- which is a bonus if you are used to flying standby!

One hour later we made it to Houston and Charlie did wonderful!! Yay!!!!

We then checked into the hotel and headed to the rehearsal dinner for some country fun.  Doesn't Charlie look cute in his plaid shirt?! Thank you Jenny for the cute shirt!!! I love it and he looks great in it!!!!

Charlie met his 2nd cousin - Harlan- for the first time.  He was born 13 days after Charlie (just like his first cousin Miles) and is a cutie!!    Here they are together- aren't they cute?!

The beautiful bride and groom! So happy for y'all!

The dance floor then opened and Charlie two-stepped for the first time!! We had a blast!!!

Yay Charlie!!!

Morgan and John were awesome on the dance floor!

We then introduced Charlie to the Cotton Eyed Joe....

We were having so much fun! Charlie lasted until about 9ish and then we went back to the hotel.  What a fun rehearsal dinner!

The next day we walked over to The Galleria and went to Build-A-Bear....

....and had lunch with everyone at Rainforest Cafe..

Winston and Jing were in Houston for the weekend and they met us at The Galleria.  It was so good to see them.

Then, it was wedding time!!!! I have been so excited to take Charlie to his first wedding, probably since he was born in January.  I couldn't wait to pick out the perfect wedding outfit and show him off to everyone.  I 'thought' I had everything planned out in my head- we were going to sit in the back, if he gets fussy I would take him out.  I had milk for him if he got fussy- easy, right?! I'm learning that you can not plan out everything or be too prepared when there is a baby involved.  :) Five minutes before the ceremony started, he ended up having a massive blow-out that leaked through his diaper and was all on his back and clothes- the outfit I had obsessed about for the past 6 months! Oh my golly- I haven't seeen anything like this before!!! Justin was the hero and took him to the bathroom to change him.  The only backup outfit I had packed was a Texas onesie- I'm glad I still had that packed.  It could always be worse! Justin changed him and cleaned him off in record timing and was back in his seat before Morgan walked down the aisle. Way to go Dad!

Congrats Morgan and John!!!

Charlie was pretty good during the ceremony and after we took family photos- with his Texas onesie on.   It makes for a good story and we will remember it each time we see the family photos.  Afterwards Charlie was wiped out! He had a pretty active last hour!

We went back to the hotel on the way to the reception to change him.  Once we arrived we had a blast!!

 We love you Charlie!

Yay Morgan- she looked absolutely beautiful and her dress had pockets! I loved it!!!  What a fun wedding!

The next day was the 4th and we hung out with the Soroski's and the Yates before we headed to the airport.

We then headed to the airport to head back to Dallas! Happy 4th- ignore how wet his shirt is- anything he puts on has drool ALL over it in seconds!

What a fun wedding weekend we had! Congrats Morgan and John - we were so glad we were able to be there for your special day!
