Bath Fun!!

Lately, Charlie has a love-hate relationship with bathtime.  One day he loves it and is pointing towards the bath in the middle of the day.  Other days he runs to the opposite side of the house when we turn the water on.  Can't figure him out! One thing that has gotten him to love bath time again is him throwing his toys in the bath.  Not sure why he loves this- but everytime he throws something in he cracks himself up laughing and bathtime is a huge success.  Here it was from last night- pretty cute!!!

After all the toys were thrown in he couldn't wait to take a bath!!! It worked!!! He's loving bathtime!!

Future Golfer

A few weeks ago, we had dinner with Nana and Papa at DAC.  After dinner, Charlie was ready to play and he walked around on the putting green for a while.  He loved the flags and took most of them out and walked around with them.  Look at our future golfer- just like his Dad!

While he was there he met a new friend named, Jackson.  He walked Charlie around and tried to teach him to play golf.  He was the sweetest thing ever and Charlie loved him!

What a fun evening we had- I know Charlie can't wait to go back soon!!

Our little climber

Over the past few weeks, our little guy has turned into quite the climber! We started Little Gym a few weeks ago and he thinks that our house is now a gym- he is climbing on everything and he is so proud of himself for doing it!

About a week ago, I left the room for what felt like a quick minute.  I came back in the room and Charlie was like this in his stroller!
I thought there was no way he got into that stroller by himself and was starting to wonder how this little guy could do that.  I took him out and he was not happy about it and started to make a fuss.  He then showed me how he got in the stroller and I was able to video some here-

So, that answered my question on how he did it! I guess he was telling me that he wanted to go for a walk- shortly after that is what we did! :)

17 months

Happy 17 months!!!!!
It's hard to believe that in just one month he will hit the milestone of 18 months.  Craziness!!!! As hard as it is to believe that we almost have a year and a half year old he is acting more and more like a toddler these days- and we love it! His little personality is really shining through and he is so much fun!!!!!
And his vocabulary is growing like crazy!! His love for books has also grown so much this month- we even had to stop in our photo shoot for story-time.  That makes this reading teacher's heart very happy!!!
We started the month with his cousin Miles- love these two together!
We also celebrated Mother's Day with his Gigi and Norma
Another highlight was that Justin bought him his first set of clubs this month and it was so much fun watch him with them.  He even picked up balls in the backyard- our future little golfer!!!
With our home on the market-we have had MANY, MANY showings this month- which is a great thing! Charlie  always wanted to help us clean and get the house ready- he is obsessed with the Swiffer and broom.....
...so we bought him his own broom set!
He is also obsessed with getting the vacuum cleaner out of the closet- this is a daily occurrence! :)
Another thing he is obsessed with is my blow dryer- not really sure why! He gets it out daily and wants to walk it around the house with it!

Boxes have also become a new obsession too! He wants to climb in every one of them- hopefully he will help us pack those boxes this month too!!!!
We have had many park dates this month and Dad even met us after work one evening!!! Charlie loved that!!
We ended the month with a fun swim date with Sam and Stella!! Charlie is not a big fan of the pool- but he is getting better each time with getting in the water.  We had a fun time!!
What an awesome month it has been! Happy 17 months sweet thing!!!

Hello Summer!!!

Two Fridays ago, was both Charlie and I's last day of school before summer break! Charlie said bye to his sweet teachers- they truly are AMAZING and we have been very blessed to find such a great school with wonderful teachers and staff that love him! We will miss them over the summer!!!
I also said bye to my sweet, sweet class too- this is one class that I am really going to miss! They were a great bunch and it was hard to pass them on- I only cried twice-which I thought was good! :)  3rd grade is really lucky to have this bunch!!!!
Our first two weeks of summer have already been wonderful- Memorial Day, storytime, music class, Little Gym, park dates, family time, tutoring, swimming- it's all been wonderful! Charlie even sat in on his first interview and helped us decided on our new 2nd grade teacher. :) That was an experience, but he did much better than I thought he would. If the start of summer is this good, I can't imagine what the rest of the summer will bring.

I hope everyone has a wonderful summer- I know we will!!! Whohooo!

Memorial Day Fun!

Memorial Day was a fun-filled event and the kick off to summer for me.  We headed over to Mom and Dad's for a day of swimming and celebrated Justin's 32nd birthday as well.  Happy birthday Justin!!

The Rucker's joined us for the day as well- Charlie and Pops
Charlie's first time in the pool this summer- he liked it at first......
.......and then realized what was going on and didn't care for it as much.  Maybe next swim date he will enjoy it more. The water was pretty cold!
 Talking to Papa
 Guy time in the pool
Love this look he is giving Pops
Papa, Charlie, and Buck
After swimming he enjoyed time in the yard running around

Grandma and Charlie and Papa feeding Charlie a chip :)

 Nana and Charlie
Justin got Charlie his first set of clubs- Charlie loved it.  Maybe a future golfer like his dad!

 Teaching Charlie how to swing

 Charge!

 Charlie loves his uncles!
Maw-Maw loves feeding Charlie ice cream and Charlie really enjoys it!

He then went to ever person with ice cream and asked for more.  Thanks Maw-Maw! :)
After ice cream, he became OBSESSED with the water hose.  He pulled it all the way out and then acted like he was watering his plants.  Pretty cute!

He then put the hose in his mouth- yes I know this is nasty and who knows what is on that hose.  But, it was pretty cute and he is a boy! :)
 Beautiful eyes!!!
What a fun day we had filled with great family! Looking forward to doing more of this over the summer!!!
