Christmas Day

Merry Christmas everyone!!! 

We were so excited for Charlie to see what Santa brought for him! 

 ....looks like he already has the hang of this!

 The first thing he went to was his new tricycle--he loved it!!

We then headed to Nana and Papa's for more Christmas fun!! This was the first Christmas in many, many years that the entire family was all together.  It was so special having Matt home!!!

As soon as we got there, we started with the boys stockings! Charlie digged right in!

Then it was onto the presents....the boys LOVED the new wagon Charlie got and they insisted everyone push them around the house in it!!

He loved playing with Miles' racetrack.....

 ....and was really loving opening his gifts.

After a yummy meal, the snow began falling down more and we had a beautiful white Christmas!!! We took the boys to play in it for a bit.  Charlie's expression when he saw the snow was priceless!!

 It was a wonderful Christmas this year and we loved having the entire family together!!!

Christmas Eve

We had a wonderful Christmas this year.  It started Christmas Eve with the Rucker's.  Charlie had a surprise gift that Pops had been working on.  We were all curious what was under that big sheet.....

 .....Charlie's own Fire Department!!! Wow!!

 Charlie was so giddy with excitement!!! He absolutely loved it....

 ....and gave Pops a big hug for it.  Sweet boy!

 After the excitement Charlie loved coloring with his new crayons and coloring book....

 He also LOVED his new outdoor table from Aunt Chrissy and Uncle Chase.  This will be perfect on our deck! Thank you!!!!

After a wonderful meal we headed to candle light service at our church.  It was beautiful!! We then headed back to the Rucker's for Santa.  What a blessed Christmas Eve we had with everyone!!!

All Aboard the Polar Express

Ever since I heard about the Polar Express Train- which was before I was even pregnant with Charlie- I have been so excited to take him. Last year he was a little young to fully understand what was going on, so we thought this year would be the perfect year to start going.  And was I excited!!! The teacher in me had to read him the Polar Express the night before we left- he was soaking it all in! :)

 Once we arrived, we watched a short musical show before loading the train.....

 When we loaded the train and found our seats, the boys loved looking outside

 Santa then made his grand appearance and handed out the magical bells......

What a fun afternoon we had!! Can't wait to make this our new family Christmas tradition!

Santa

We went to see Santa today and I was so excited!!!! I woke up bright and early and waited in line for an hour for our Santa ticket.  We then went back up to NP after his nap and waited only for about 10 minutes to get our Santa picture.  Pretty easy!!

We had no idea how Charlie would react to Santa- we had been reading him lots of Santa books to prepare him, but we still didn't know how it would go.  He was a little hesitant at first, but once I sat him on his lap I think he liked him.

 They then started have a little toddler conversation together :)

 Santa then gave him his picture and Charlie LOVED it!!

 He admired it the entire way back to the car- I think we might have a Santa fan!!

 Afterwards, we went to our new favorite burger spot for burgers and milkshakes.  So good!!!

What a fun afternoon we had together- I love days like these!!

Holiday Party

Charlie had his holiday party at his school last Friday and it was so much fun! It really consisted of them eating and then running around- but it was still really cute! :)

After they got on a sugar high, they ran around like crazy toddlers! Oh my!!

After the party, each class sang a song for the school holiday performance.  Charlie's class sang Frosty the Snowman- it was hilarious watching these almost 2 year olds.  There really was no singing and they just stared at the audience! Pretty cute! Oh and they were all supposed to dress like snowmen. :)

He tried to dance with his friend- but I don't think the other little boy was really into it. :)

Not sure what Charlie has in hand- probably something he wouldn't put down before the performance
