A few weeks ago, we found out that Charlie has Plagiocephaly- which is a big word for he has a 'flat head'. :) He also has torticollis- which means he neck muscles are very tight causing him to not be able to turn towards the left side as he should. The good news is that it is fixable and the docs said this is very common with preemie babies and if he was carried really low in the womb- which he was!
One way to fix this is to wear a doc-band, which looks like a helmet. He got it on Thursday and is doing pretty well with it. The first day it took him a while to get used to it, but he seems to be pretty adjusted now after a few days. He has to wear it 23 hours a day and can only take it off to bathe. He will probably have it until around February- for about 3 months.
