Cousin Play date

We were so excited to have Dawn, Erin, and Miles in town for the holidays.  The boys hadn't been together since the end of August.  They were around 7 months at the time and not very mobile.  Now that they are 11 months and VERY mobile, we knew they would have a lot more fun together. We couldn't wait to get them together for their first cousin play date.  :)

First stop was lunch with Papa.  We then headed to his office for everyone to meet the boys....

We then went back to Nana and Papa's house for some fun.  Here Charlie took Miles' Longhorn football- he loved it!!! We might have to get him one of his own.
This picture reminds me of Matt and I :) I love it!!!
 Cute cousins...
 Hi Miles....
They loved playing this toy together.....
Miles is taking a few steps and is so proud of himself when he does.  He starts clapping for himself and we all started clapping for him.....it's pretty darn cute!!!
Charlie clapping for his cousin too....
Miles dancing- he has some good moves!  :)
 Charlie LOVES Buck!!!
Charlie giving his cousin a hug.....
....and Miles pushing him away :)
 Off they go........

 Nana and Charlie
 Singing Christmas carols together....so cute!!!

We had such a fun day and I love that the boys play so well together! I never would have thought Matt and I would have kids so close in age- 13 days apart! I'm so excited to watch them grown up together!!

Charlie and Miles Visit Santa

Today we headed up to NP for a day of fun with Charlie and Miles! We started out at the library for a fun music and story-time class.  The boys had a blast!

Miles loves touching Charlie's head! I don't think he knows what to think of the helmet.....

Nana and Charlie singing nursery rhymes together!!!
So fun!!!

We then headed for round 2 with Santa! Charlie didn't like it so much this go 'round.  In fairness to Charlie, it was during his nap time.  It made for some fun pictures, though, that we can show the boys when they get older!

As soon as I rescued Charlie from Santa, he was back to his smiley, animated self!

Proud Nana.....
Cousins and future BFF's!! Charlie is asking, "Where did my helmet go?!"

The boys were wiped out after their fun filled afternoon together and crashed in their strollers.  Yay!

We thought this would be a fun time to head to one of my favorite restaurants, grab drinks and dessert and let the boys nap.  They napped the entire time in their strollers- no high chair needed!! Woohoo!

What a fun day the cousins had together! Makes us wish they were here all the time.  We can't wait for more cousin fun while they are in town!!

Christmas at Norma's

We went over to Norma's last weekend to celebrate Christmas.  It was a Rucker tradition to always get together around Christmas and play cards--something Big Daddy always enjoyed to do.  It definitely wasn't the same this year with BD not there, but we still had a lot of fun together!

We started the evening with a yummy Italian meal.  Charlie, on the other hand, enjoyed his dinner of turkey and black beans.  He also enjoyed hanging out with his Pops and Uncle Chase!

We then moved to the living room and Charlie entertained us....

Before going to bed everyone wanted to take a picture with the cute lil' guy....

He also loved playing with Gigi's glasses before going to bed....

Once Charlie was sound asleep, we played some fun card games.  We missed having Big Daddy with us, but we know he is in a better place looking down on us. He would be proud of our lil' Charlie :)

Christmas Cards!

I love Christmas cards-- I think I'm obsessed with checking our mail each day during this time of the year! Not only do I get excited about receiving the cards,  but I get even more excited about planning and sending out our own Christmas cards.  I love it!!!

This year, I was double excited because it's Charlie's first Christmas.  Here are a few of the ones we were trying to decide between. Isn't he cute?!?

And the winner for our Christmas cards this year was.....

Here are a few out takes we had.  He can go from happy and smiley one minute to this the next.......pretty funny!

He also loved putting everything in his mouth....

We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season and a happy New Year!
