A few weeks ago, we went to California for our family vacation. Our close college friend, Winston, was getting married in California, and we decided to stay a few extra days and make it our summer vacation. We have been talking about the trip all summer and the boys were so excited! They were most excited about flying in an airplane and going to the beach. They could not wait!!
We left late Thursday afternoon and met Justin at the airport- the boys were ready!!
Riding the shuttle over to the airport....so excited!!!
Once we made it to the airport we checked our bags and headed to the gate!
They both stood here and just stared at the airplanes- they couldn't wait to get on it!
This was the first time both boys both had a seat and Charlie quickly grabbed the window seat!
Once we took off it was movie time!! We have been talking all summer about watching movies on the plane. They did great and it was a easy flight for all of us!!
We arrived into San Diego around dinner time. We grabbed Chipotle for dinner and then drove about an hour to our hotel. The boys were exhausted, but did so well! We were thankful and ready to get some sleep!!
Friday we needed to be at the wedding rehearsal at 2pm in Laguna. So, we found the closet park in the morning after breakfast and let the boys get out their energy. They had a blast!!
We then headed to the wedding rehearsal and the view was beautiful.....
.... and all Charlie wanted to do was go to the beach!
After the rehearsal we headed down to the beach and played in the water! This was the first time we have been to the beach that Charlie wasn't afraid of the waves.
That night Justin went to the rehearsal dinner and the boys and I stayed at the hotel and swam. We had so much fun!
Saturday was the wedding day!! We started the day with Luke choosing what we ate for breakfast and he chose french toast sticks. So, we headed to Burger King to get this boy some french toast. If you have been around Luke lately this is about all he will eat!!
We then headed to another park to burn off some energy!
It worked because they were wiped out!
It was now wedding time!!! Getting ready- don't they look so handsome!
I really wanted to get a family picture of us all dressed up. This was the only family picture we got the entire night...
...one more try! It wasn't happening and I wasn't going to force it. Bummer!
The Rucker's all arrived after a early morning start from big D- just in time for the wedding. Hello Uncle Adnope!

Lukie LOVED being on the dance floor- he stayed there all night long!
