A Sweet Goodbye

Luke and I headed up to school this morning to say goodbye to my class and wish them a wonderful summer.  We had the best time and I loved that they were able to meet sweet Luke.  They were such a special group of kids and will truly be missed next year.  3rd grade is lucky to have this bunch! We had such a fun morning hanging out with these sweet 2nd graders!!

Sweet Cousins!!

I love these two sweet boys!! Being only 13 days apart- they could practically be twins.  They always have so much fun together and provide us with plenty of entertainment!!! Here are just a few of my favorite current pictures of the boys!!!
This is pretty much what it looks like when these 2 are together at Nana and Papa's lately...

 Fun Arboretum playdate!!

And you can't forget Luke and Kennedy- they are only 6 1/2 weeks apart.  I see many fun holidays in our future!!! :)

Mother's Day Weekend

Our mother's day weekend was a fun filled one! It started on Saturday with a trip to the new Perot Museum with the Rucker's.  It was a great time and Charlie loved it! Can't wait to go back over the summer!
 Luke loved the dinos!!! :)
Checking out the exhibits with Uncle Adam
Proof that we were there too. :) If Charlie saw this picture I think he would say 'tired Mama!'  This Mama needs some sleep!!

2 months

Happy 2 months to sweet baby Luke!

We had Luke's appointment and all was great.  Below are his stats.  We are pretty impressed with our little guy- he has already almost doubled his birth weight! Very thankful that he is gaining weight and is healthy!
Weight: 10 pounds, 15 ounces - 16th%
Height: 22.5 inches- 23rd%
Head: 15.25 inches- 34th%

This month we moved Luke to his room!! He takes 3 naps- morning, afternoon, and late afternoon- mostly in his big boy crib during the day and sleeps there at night- no longer in the bassinet by our bed.  The teacher in me already has him on a routine that works for us and he does really well with it.  We are working on sleeping longer stretches during the night- his longest stretch so far is 6 hours.  He sleeps just like his brother did- double swaddled and then we zip the woombie on top of that.  Both of our boys are pros at breaking out of their swaddles! Thank goodness for the woombie!
He has graduated to size 1 diapers and 3 month clothes.  Go Luke!
He enjoys his nighttime routine with Daddy- he seems to really enjoy bath time and getting wet.  It's looking like he will be my water boy! :)

He enjoyed spending time with some of his great grandmothers this month
Towards the end of the month we were able to get him outside more- thank goodness!  He enjoys being outside and loves our family walks at the lake with Charlie.
Speaking of Charlie- he is such a proud big brother! He really wants to be with baby Luke any chance he gets......I can't wait to see these two playing together once Luke gets older!

Charlie is also really excited when I pick him up from school with baby Luke- he wants to help push the stroller out to the car.  Such a good big brother!
Happy 2 months baby Luke!
