24 weeks

Last week, we checked in on our big guy and he is doing great! He's growing just like he should- even faster than he should! Each time we get checked he is measuring about a week (or more!) ahead of schedule.  Not a bad thing! Here is his latest sonogram.....

Here are a few of the outtakes from the picture above.  Better than last time- but this time he ran to get his books in the middle of the photo shoot to have a short reading break.  

He even went to give Dada a hug in the middle of the pictures too- sweet boy!

We have been working hard on completing his nursery. This month was all about putting together the dresser.

Justin gave up and let Charlie finish.  It was Charlie's gift to his little brother. :)

Baby Rucker #2 is definitely growing- I really popped out this month!! Over halfway there!

23 months!

Happy 23 months crazy Charlie!!

This picture is not exactly what I had planned- but it sums up his personality at the moment- crazy toddler!!!! I had the cutest shirt planned for his last picture as a 1 year old- but he had other plans! :) He did not want to put on any shirt and as soon as he saw the 23 months sticker on the wall he ran to it, took it off, and stuck in on himself.  Oh my golly!!!

He then ran around the house with the sticker still on him- laughing at himself the entire time.  He was so proud and I must say he was pretty darn cute!

We then went outside to show Dada the fun we were having- he really didn't know what to think! :)

Happy 23 months Charlie- you sure do bring a smile to our face each day!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! We hope that you had a wonderful day with family and friends! I took zero pictures this year- yes zero- so I have no pictures to share! I blame it on me being pregnant! :) We had a great time and spent Thanksgiving day with my family and then Saturday with the Rucker family. Uncle Adam did document the Rucker family Thanksgiving with his weekly Sundae Sunday.  Check out our fun Thanksgiving here....

Happy birthday Papa, Pops, and Noni!!!

This past weekend was full of birthday celebrations!! First up was to Nana and Papa's on Friday night to celebrate Papa's birthday.  The bonus was that Matt, Dawn, Miles, and Erin are officially back in Texas!! Yay!! The boys were excited to see each other again and picked up right where they left off in May.  They played so well together and looked like this most of the night- chasing after one another! :)

 The next day, we headed to Pops and Gigi's house to celebrate Pops and Noni's birthday.  Charlie immediately went to find a book and asked told Pops to read it to him.  This boy loves his books!  Makes this reading teacher mama proud!

 He then found the drums and played with Isaiah- they made some great music!

22 months!

Happy 22 months Charlie!!!

18 weeks!

Last week, we were able to check in on our sweet little boy and everything was wonderful.  He continues to have a strong heartbeat- 156 BPM- and is growing just like he should be.  We feel very blessed! Here is a sneak peak at him sucking his thumb.

We started putting together the nursery and it's been so much fun.  We have almost all the furniture pieces- just lacking a few more and then we will be done!! I'm determined to have this nursery completed soon! Here Justin is putting together the crib.....

 Charlie even tried to help some! Already being such a good big brother! :)

I'm trying to document this pregnancy better than I did with Charlie.  I saw this cute picture on Pinterest that I so wanted to do with this pregnancy! I loved how it showed how much I had grown each week- but also Charlie as well.  Our best attempt was at the top and here are a few of the out-takes! I  didn't think it would be this hard to take this picture!  It was hilarious taking it though- I don't think we had laughed that hard in a long time.  Not sure why he thought the need to roll around on the ground during the picture- yes, he is almost 2! :)

Overall, I've been feeling well- just really exhausted by the end of the day.  I try to rest as much as I can during the day- but that is really hard with 21 second graders. :) I really popped out this month!!! I feel like I went from barely showing, to really showing overnight!

This was Charlie's first official Halloween for trick or treating and we were so excited! He didn't really know what to think of the candy!

 Nana and Papa came over to pass out candy while we were gone.  Thanks for helping us out and looking after the house while we were gone.

After all the excitement, we came home and I even let him taste his first bite of a candy bar! He liked it!
