Welcome Home, Rucker Family!!!!

The renovations are done and we moved into our new home over the weekend.  There are still a lot of boxes to unpack and organizing to do- but we are just so excited to be moved in and not homeless anymore. :)

Gigi and Pops watched Charlie over the weekend while we moved and it helped us a ton.  When he came back Sunday evening he LOVED seeing his new house!!

 I think I'm starting to like this new place!

 He went to every window and opened the shutters and said 'Whoa!!' Pretty cute! :)

 

 We love our new home and could not feel more blessed! Check back soon for before and after pictures once we are all moved in and settled!

2nd haircut!!

Charlie had his 2nd haircut a few weeks ago and he did great!!! 

 Thomas the Train was on and he was in toddler heaven!!! He loves that show!!

 All done- such a big boy!

 Way to go Charlie- 2nd haircut was a huge success!!!

Where is your.......

We have been working on Charlie identifying his body parts for a while now and I finally caught it on video.  Him showing me his mouth is definitely my favorite!! Enjoy!

The Move: Stage Two

We officially moved out of our home the start of August and moved in with Nana and Papa (my parents) while we finish doing some renovation projects on our new house.  We thought it would be so much easier and faster to do the remodeling when no one was living in the house.

So, the Rucker's- mainly Charlie- have officially taken over my parents house!  Charlie and their dog Buck have quickly became the best of buds.  Not sure why he also has the Apple power cord as well in his hand- he is a mess!!!

Shortly after we arrived they had to baby proof all of their cabinets- yikes!!! This was Charlie's favorite thing to do!!!

He also enjoys playing with all of the tupperware and banging it on the kitchen floors like he is at a rock concert! 

They put gates up around the house so he doesn't roam and get into even more trouble.  His mission is to climb the gates daily though- he hasn't escaped.....yet!!

He has enjoyed some fun swimming dates with Dad!

His favorite thing he has loved during our stay is the water hose- he has a slight obsession with it actually!!! Whenever he is having a meltdown give him the water hose and life is good!!!

The water doesn't even have to be on- he will just pull it out and act like he is watering the plants!

Thank you Nana and Papa for letting is take over the house for about a month- only about 2 more weeks and your house will be a calm place again!

The Move: Stage One

Last weekend, we packed up our first home.  Charlie helped us pack and move as much as he could! His favorite part was taking his broom and sweeping- at least he tried! :)

He also enjoyed emptying out the fridge- Charlie took advantage of the opportunity to sell dad some of his own stuff.

Another one of his favorite things to do was to climb on all the boxes!

He also loved taking out everything that I already packed and sort it his way.  Fun times packing with a toddler!!! :)

Goodbye first home- you have taught us so much and we have grown a ton as a couple and a little family in the past 6 years.  Can't wait to start making memories during this next stage of our life!

19 months

Happy 19 months Charlie!!!! What a fun month we had- between house closings, starting projects on our new house, packing, birthday celebrations, a beach trip, and much more it's been a very eventful month!!! 

 He had more teeth come in too- look at those pretty teeth!!

 July was full of birthday celebrations- first up was Gigi's....

 Then we celebrated Aunt Chrissy's....

He also had a few firsts this month.....first time at the beach....

....and first time in a fire truck!

 He also helped us pack up our house as much as he could- he loved the tape!!!

If he is not with me helping us pack you can find him in the bathroom doing this.....

We went up to school a few days to get my classroom ready for the new school year- this is the first place he went to.  Yikes!!

Most days he looks like this and we love him even more for that! 

Happy 19 months sweet thing!!

Burn Night

 Last Friday was 'Burn Night' for Chase for the Fire Department.  It was very similar to a graduation- where the newest recruits show off some of the skills they have learned to family and friends.  We had a great time being there and seeing what Chase has learned over the past couple of months.
