Planes Party

We had Charlie's party last weekend with our families.  If you have been around him lately you will know quickly that he is obsessed with planes lately.  We had his party at the Frontiers of Flight Museum and it was perfect! He was so excited!!

Happy 4th Birthday Big Boy! We love you, Charlie Austin!

Charlie is FOUR!

Charlie Austin turned FOUR on Friday, January 2nd.  It's hard to believe that he is already four! His room was decorated with red balloons and streamers when he woke up.  He was a pretty happy four year old! Yes, he has on Dusty Planes pajamas- thank you Uncle Adam! 

I asked him if he wanted to spend the day with Mommy on his birthday or go to school and celebrate it with his friends.  He wanted to go to school- which I was pretty sad about- he's growing up. :(  But, Justin reminded me that this will probably be the only time he will be at school to celebrate on his birthday, which made it a little better.  I brought cupcakes during snack time and he was in heaven!!

When Daddy got home, we gave him his gift.  He could not wait to open his present.

Magformers!! He LOVES them!!! He loves building things and these are shapes that have magnets on them.  You can build anything with them and he instantly built a house.  He was so proud of himself!

We then headed to his favorite restaurant for some yummy chips and queso! Good choice!

Once we got home we did baths and got the boys ready for bed.  Part of his birthday present was new big boy furniture.  Some of the pieces are on back order but his bed came on Friday.  

He was pretty excited to sleep in his new bed and did great!

Here are some current facts about Charlie Austin:

1. He LOVES the color red! 

2. He is obsessed with Planes: Fire and Rescue

3.  He LOVES to run anywhere and everywhere and he's really fast!

4.  He's a great builder- he LOVES building his train tracks and most recently magformers

5.  Although he said he would eat meat on his 4th birthday, he still doesn't eat meat.  Unless he is tricked into it.  :)

6. He enjoys books and stories.

7.  He does not like tall dressers- he thinks they come alive at night and talk to him.  He has quite the imagination.  

8. He enjoys riding his (red) bike. 

9.  His best friends at the moment are Jack, Sean, and his cousin Miles. 

10.  He is very inquisitive- he asks very deep questions.

11.  He has a great memory- be careful what you tell him because he WILL remember it!

12.  His favorite food is PB&J- he would eat this for every meal if we let him! His 2nd favorite food is breakfast!

13.  He is a VERY loving boy with a BIG heart.  We are so thankful for these past four years with him.

22 months!

Happy 22 months sweet and crazy Lukie!

This months picture was a little more challenging to take, but it sums up his personality at the moment perfectly.  He wouldn't stand still for more than a second and he was either running around the room with his tongue out...

He also has learned the word NOOOOO and says it to everything and everyone.  He says it pretty dramatically too!  He is also right on the verge of talking.  Oh boy!

What a fun month we have had!

Trains, Cookies, and Perot!

I heart winter break!! Just when you think you don't have it in you to work one more day, you get two glorious weeks off to relax and be with your family.  This year it came at just the right timing and we are having the best break togther. Last week, we headed to NP to see the Trains.  It was PACKED, but the boys loved it and it was a bonus having Nana with us! 

Later that afternoon, we baked our Santa cookies.  This is the first time I baked with Charlie and it was a lot of fun.  I love being in the kitchen and I want to teach the boys a love for cooking too!

The next week, we headed to the Perot Museum for a morning of fun.  We went during the member hours and it was perfect.  It wasn't crowded at all and we were really able to enjoy all the fun things the museum has to offer.  It's really fun because Lukie is at an age where he can start really enjoying it as well.

What a fun break we are having!!
