3 months!

Sweet Sydney June is 3 months!!
Weight: 12 pounds, 6 ounces- 37%

The big thing that happened this month is we found out Sydney has a milk protein allergy. Poor girl!! She had blood in stool and had been extra fussy when I had any dairy products.  Took her to the pediatrician and found out she has an allergy.  Good news is once I took dairy out of my diet she wasn't fussy anymore and I haven't found blood in her stools since.  Bad news is no queso for me until I stop nursing!

She started smiling more this month and is the sweetest thing!! She really is the calmest and sweetest baby and look at that dimple! Love it!

We went to church as a family of 5 this month.  It felt good to get back in our Sunday routine!
Luke loves is little sister and could give her kisses all day!
We visited Daddy at work and had lunch with him and the airplanes
She enjoys tummy time- look at that head lift!
She met her newest cousin, Ashlyn Faith.  Excited to see these two girls grow up together!
Her biggest bro started kinder!! It's been a big transition for us all!
Happy three months sweet girl! You have grown so much and we love you!!

Sydney is 2 months!!

Happy 2 months to sweet Sydney June!!
We had her 2 month appointment and everything looked great! Below are her stats.  She was having a hard time nursing and gaining weight in her first month, but this month she started nursing better and really started putting on weight.  Way to go Syd! We are so thankful that she is gaining weight and is healthy!
Weight: 10 pounds, 7 ounces, 25th%
Height: 23 inches, 72nd%
Head: 15 inches, 42nd%

This month I got Sydney on more of a routine and she is doing really good with it.  It's definetly a more 'flexible' routine compared to her brothers and I know it will have to be even more flexible once school starts.  Yikes! She takes three naps in her crib each 1.5 hours each.  She still sleeps in the bassinet by our bed at night and we are working on her sleeping longer stretches at night.  The longest she has gone so far was 5 hours.
The sweetest milestone she made this month was her smiling and cooing.  She has the sweetest smile and really is a happy and calm baby! Fingers crossed that continues!

She went to her first movie to see Finding Dory! She loved it and slept through the entire movie!
Charlie and Luke like to be right beside her at all times- I love how sweet they are with her.

Luke could give her kisses all day long!
Charlie really wants her to crawl soon so he can play with her.  He gets so excited when she is on her playmat.  Her he is helping her learn to roll. Sweet boy!
She celebrated her first Fourth of July and went to the lake

She spent time with her namesake
We celebrated Gigi's birthday

She enjoys bath time and loves the water.

She enjoys playing on her playmat.  Look at that head lift and smile! Way to go Syd!

She can truly sleep through anything.  The boys were so loud and going wild around her and she slept just like this through it all.  Look at that smirk on her face! I think she is thinking one day I will keep up with you boys and put you big brothers in your place.  Ha!
She really is the sweetest thing and loves to cuddle! Ignore my bags- newborn sleep deprivation is rough! Thank goodness she is cute!
Look how much she has grown!!! Happy 2 months Sydney June! We love you!!

Welcome Sydney June!!

Sweet Sydney June was born Monday, May 23rd at 11:15am.  She weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces and was 19.5 inches long.  She is just the sweetest thing and we are all in love!
For you to get a full idea of his birth story I will back up to the weekend before.  Friday night, we celebrated Justin's birthday as a family of 4.  His birthday was on Sunday, but I woke up that morning thinking we should celebrate it on Friday just in case I go into labor.  I'm so glad we did! Charlie helped me bake his favorite chocolate sheet cake and the boys loved celebrating Daddy.  It was a sweet night with our little family!

The next day (Saturday) Charlie had his first TBall game and his last soccer game...

.....after the soccer game Nana took the boys home with her and we had a glorious 24 hours just the two of us.  Looking back I'm so glad we had that time together before we became a family of 5.  We went on one last date night, took a final belly shot, and got lots of rest. It was much needed! Thank you Nana and Papa!

Sunday was Justin's birthday and we met my parents at church to get the boys.  Something felt off though.  I couldn't eat breakfast (unlike me!) and was really nauseous.  I had to step out a few times during church because I was so hot and felt like I was going to throw up (also not like me!)  About this time was when my contractions started too.  At this point we thought sweet Sydney might be on a path to be birthday buddies with Daddy! After church we met Justin's fam at his favorite BBQ restaurant to celebrate his birthday.  I still felt off.  I couldn't eat, and the contractions started getting stronger and hurt! Oh boy!
After lunch, we went home to rest, and I kept thinking these contractions have got to stop.  But, they didn't! Each one was getting closer together and stronger.  I called the doctor on call and explained what was happening and he said I need to head to the hospital.  Luke's labor was really quick and they were afraid this one could be even quicker, so they didn't want to take any chances.  We called up Adam and he came and watched the boys.

We checked into L&D around 3:30ish on Sunday, May 22nd.  My contractions had slowed down a bit, but were still in a labor pattern.  They monitored me until about 9pm and at that time I was admitted and given a epidural.  I was about a 4 at this point.  They all knew how fast Luke came, so they didn't want to take any chances this go 'round.  And I was hesitant going home, because I knew I would be right back up to the hospital if it was anything like the boys' deliveries.

Once I was admitted and my epidural was complete, the contractions REALLY slowed down.  I tried to rest but it was so hard at this point! No progression overnight after that, but still contracting every 2-3 mins, so it was a long night waiting. The next morning at 5:00, the nurse started to walk through a plan. Doc would be in around 8am to break water and begin.  Surely this will speed things up! I stayed at a 4 until about 11:00am.  All of a sudden, in about a 10 minute span,  my pain level shot up and I went from a 4 to a 10. The nurse told me Sydney was coming at any minute.  I pushed a few times and at 11:15am sweet Sydney June made her arrival!

That night, the boys came up to the hospital to meet Sydney.  It was such a sweet moment seeing them meet their baby sister.

The next day (Tuesday) family came to visit and meet sweet Sydney...

Aunt Chrissy
 Gran Jan
 Maw-Maw- Papa, and Nana
 Papa
Nana
Pops
Gigi
The most special was June meeting baby June...
Wednesday we packed up and were ready to head home.  We were ready (and nervous!) for our family of 5 to be under one roof again.

When we got home the boys were excited to see baby Sydney again.  She gave them a big brother gift which made them love her even more! Ha!

Welcome to the world sweet Sydney June! You are already very much loved and we can't wait to see the amazing little girl you will become!
