Baby #2!!!!

You read that right- Charlie is going to be a big brother soon- the official due date is April 6th, 2013!!! We feel so blessed that baby #2 is on the way.

We found out the end of July we were expecting and this is what Charlie looked like when Justin came home from work the evening of July 26th and found out our family was growing.  He was so excited- Charlie really didn't understand what all the excitement was about though! But, he was all smiles and celebrated with us!! :)

We shared the news with our family about a month ago and they were thrilled.  Living with my parents it was a little hard to hide- my mom figured it out very quickly.  Here is a video of us sharing the news.

After we shared the news- Charlie is excited about being a big brother and holding up a #2 sign!! :)

We then shared the news with Justin's family and they were really excited as well! We were in the process of picking out paint colors for our house and we asked them what color they liked the best.  They quickly found out it wasn't a paint chip they were looking at- it was a sonogram.

I've been feeling pretty good- just exhausted!! My stomach has definitely popped out a lot faster than it did with Charlie- yikes!!! Here I am monthly so you can see how much it has grown!

We feel so blessed and can't wait to find out if baby Rucker #2 is a sweet boy or girl.  Either way- we feel like one lucky little family!!

20 months!

So, this post is a little late considering Charlie turns 21 months in three days- yikes!! Charlie really didn't want to take these pictures either.  This was the third try at getting the perfect picture and Charlie wasn't having it, so these pics will have to do.  :)

In honor of the start of Longhorn football he is wearing his burnt orange! He really didn't like the number on the wall- so he took it off and wore it!
Then walked around the house with it....

Happy late 20 months sweet Charlie!!!

Welcome Home, Rucker Family!!!!

The renovations are done and we moved into our new home over the weekend.  There are still a lot of boxes to unpack and organizing to do- but we are just so excited to be moved in and not homeless anymore. :)

Gigi and Pops watched Charlie over the weekend while we moved and it helped us a ton.  When he came back Sunday evening he LOVED seeing his new house!!
Not sure about all these boxes guys!!
I think I'm starting to like this new place!
He went to every window and opened the shutters and said 'Whoa!!' Pretty cute! :)

We love our new home and could not feel more blessed! Check back soon for before and after pictures once we are all moved in and settled!

The Move: Stage Two

We officially moved out of our home the start of August and moved in with Nana and Papa (my parents) while we finish doing some renovation projects on our new house.  We thought it would be so much easier and faster to do the remodeling when no one was living in the house.

So, the Rucker's- mainly Charlie- have officially taken over my parents house!  Charlie and their dog Buck have quickly became the best of buds.  Not sure why he also has the Apple power cord as well in his hand- he is a mess!!!
Shortly after we arrived they had to baby proof all of their cabinets- yikes!!! This was Charlie's favorite thing to do!!!
He also enjoys playing with all of the tupperware and banging it on the kitchen floors like he is at a rock concert!

They put gates up around the house so he doesn't roam and get into even more trouble.  His mission is to climb the gates daily though- he hasn't escaped.....yet!!

He has enjoyed some fun swimming dates with Dad!
His favorite thing he has loved during our stay is the water hose- he has a slight obsession with it actually!!! Whenever he is having a meltdown give him the water hose and life is good!!!
The water doesn't even have to be on- he will just pull it out and act like he is watering the plants!
Thank you Nana and Papa for letting is take over the house for about a month- only about 2 more weeks and your house will be a calm place again!
